So Where Am I Going?
WHERE IN THE WORLD IS DJIBOUTI?
I'M HEADING TO DJIBOUTI!
Whenever I tell anyone this I wait for a second because 9 times out of 10 the next question is "Where in the world is Djibouti?"
Before I booked my airline ticket, I, too, had to look Djibouti up on a map. On January 5, 2022, I'll start my journey to Africa, and I'm hoping you will join me as I explore this amazing country, and city, of Djibouti.
First things first...
"Why in the world would you go to Djibouti?" is usually the next question someone will ask.
This is why: My youngest daughter, Katherine, is a Foreign Service Officer with the US State Department and she is posted in Djibouti.
She was unable to make it home for Christmas so I have decided to bring some spirit to her and her new friends. She has said that I may be the first visitor they have had to Djibouti since she arrived. Hmmm, should I read something into this?
